Launch iTunes and when it detects your device, hit the iPhone button. Select File Sharing in the Apps tab. Now, choose Documents. Drag and drop images and videos from your system to the right pane featuring a list of stored files.

After transferring files to the local storage, you can save the same pictures or videos to your iPhone’s Camera Roll. Access the area where you’ve saved the particular file from the Documents app.

Click the Edit button and select the required file. Hit the Copy icon to get the list of available folders. Again, click the Copy button in the Photos folder to copy the selected photo or video to the camera roll.

Transfer Photos and Videos Using WiFi Drive

If you don’t want to use iTunes, then use the WiFi Drive of the Documents app. It’ll help to quickly upload files from the computer to the local storage of this app over WiFi. Just like iTunes, connect both devices to the same WiFi network.

But, make sure the app provides a WiFi Sharing option. Once connected, launch the Documents app on your phone and click the Menu icon. Now, access WiFi Drive in the Settings and turn on the Enable Drive option.

Open a browser in your system and access the IP address shown on the screen. Click Ok on the prompt appearing. Once you do that, photos or videos on the app’s storage will transfer to the browser. Tap Choose File button and select the required file.

At last, click on the Upload File button to transfer them into the app’s local storage. To export the files from the app to your iPhone camera roll, open the app on your phone. Go to the location where you have saved the transferred photos or videos.

Click Edit and then choose the files you would like to save to the camera roll of your iPhone. Click the Copy icon and open the Photos folder. To copy the selected files to your phone’s Camera Roll, simply click the Copy button.

Save Mac Photos or Videos to Camera Roll

Are you using a MacBook and want to save your newborn’s pictures or other images and videos on your iPhone? Save them to your phone’s camera roll. You can send them directly using Apple’s AirDrop feature. But ensure that you’re using OS X Yosemite or later version and iPhone with iOS 8 or enhanced edition.

Turn on the AirDrop option on your iPhone and WiFi and Bluetooth on your Mac. Hit AirDrop in the Finder sidebar on your Mac. Select ‘Everyone’ in the AirDrop discovery. Choose the required file in a new Finder window on the Mac. Drag the chosen photo/video to your iPhone and authorize the file transfer.

Free Up iPhone Storage Space

First, clean up the photo library using Gemini Photos from the App Store. Clear app caches and delete unnecessary applications. Another way is to transfer your pictures and videos to cloud storage.

The last step you can execute is to clear other storage on your iPhone. Other storage includes Safari cache, old Notes, Voice Memos, Message Attachments, and offline content from streaming apps.
